ITASCA, Illinois -- May 14, 2007: Denon DJ, a leading manufacturer of professional DJ equipment, today announced the Denon DJ "Mix & Mash Challenge," a first-of-its-kind online DJ contest that will give aspiring DJs the chance to win valuable prizes and have their mix featured on Beatport, the leading online music source for working DJs. The online competition, co-sponsored by fashion leader Armani Exchange, the Guitar Center nationwide retail chain, Tommy Boy Entertainment, Beatport and PCDJ will allow DJs to show off their "skillz" and win prizes by downloading tracks from a specially created website, mash.denondj.com, then remixing and uploading them back onto the site for judging by friends, visitors and industry experts. The contest will run from May 14th through July 2007 and is open to all DJs who are over 21 years of age and residents of the U.S. A variety of the music downloads for the contest will be provided by Tommy Boy Entertainment and the Armani Exchange.
Grand Prize Winner to Be Selected By Top Industry Experts.

Noted Denon DJ Brand Manager Silvio Zeppieri: "With the Denon 'Mix & Mash Challenge,' we're giving aspiring DJs across the country the opportunity to be heard, and share their talents among their peers. Most importantly, because the contest is totally online, everything about it is simple, fast and easy - there are no tapes or CDs to mail in. Anyone with a computer and an Internet connection can enter with just a few mouse clicks, and people interested in listening, sharing tracks and voting for their favorites can also participate just as easily. We're looking forward to using the contest to encourage up-and-coming DJs to get their work out there, while promoting overall DJ creativity and calling attention to Denon DJ's broad lineup of premium professional DJ products."

CPS Certification Gives an Edge
In a white paper titled Certification: Networking With the Best, George R. Conrade, wrote, "Certification is an excellent way to gain a competitive edge and give proof of your abilities, knowledge, and level of skill. To be certified in any profession, whether it's as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or as a CPS Certified Disc Jockey (CPSDJ), means you have joined a network of individuals who meet consistent, knowledge-based standards of ability, position, experience-even ethics. When you pursue certification, you're testing yourself against these standards of proficiency." Click here for details.
