You will often find organizations giving manufacturers awards based on products and supportive arrangements, often overlooking the individuals on the front lines who have great influence in the companies' product development and community direction. We often see these individuals participating in online communities and attending countless industry gatherings at a great sacrifice of family and personal time, a sacrifice needed to keep in the groove of industry trends.
This award recognizes a person within the industry who has had a positive impact on our C.P.S. community and who has been supportive of the Disc Jockey Industry overall for many years. As a professional Disc Jockey himself, you will often find him on many networking bulletin boards offering advice and clarifying issues—no matter how heated the topic—and he maintains the high road with solid advice and an open mind.
The 2006 C.P.S. Manufacturers Representative of the Year Award is awarded to Silvio Zeppieri, Brand Manager for Denon DJ products.
As Brand Manager for Denon DJ products, Silvio is charged with spearheading new product development for the company and working to ensure that Denon DJ responds to the needs of the modern DJ by designing market-driven products that reflect the company’s longtime status as a leading provider of cutting-edge DJ tools. He also works closely with Denon DJ R&D teams in Japan as well as the company’s reps, retail partners, and customers, contributing to the development of innovative new products and programs to ensure the company’s continued expansion.
Since beginning his career at Denon in 1992, Silvio has been instrumental in the tremendous growth and success of the company, contributing to both the launch of its cutting-edge DJ products and innovative value-added hardware and software enhancements provided to its loyal customer base. He was also integral to the launch of Denon DJ's new website, www.denondj.com.
Silvio has a rich history in both the DJ market and the audio industry. He joined Denon as a technical support representative for the Consumer Division and subsequently rose to the position of Denon Technical Support Specialist. In addition, he has kept in close touch with his market as a professional working DJ for the past 25 years in the tri-state New York region.

C.P.S. Educational Department, organizers of the C.P.S. Awards program, proudly recognized individuals and organizations for their extraordinary contributions to the computer DJ/VJ/KJ industry during the 2006 CPS DJ Summit while also reflecting upon and celebrating the 100th birthday of the DJ industry.
