Time To Re-certify
CPSDJ/CPSME Certification program does not offer a lifetime certificate as do most other specialty boards. Individuals with verified CPSDJ/CPSME certification must prove they are keeping up with technology and trends by Re-certification every 2-3 years as a CPSDJ/CPSME-certified DJ. .
CPSDJ Re-certification& Maintenance Program
Individuals who study and earn these CPSDJ designations, and maintain them, demonstrate an exceptionally high level of expertise, competence, professionalism, and commitment to the Disc Jockey industry. By attending various industry events and seminars, you will stay on the "cutting edge" of the entertainment industry.
Currently, there are two programs that offer Re-certification programs: CPSDJ and CPSME. The Re-certification process begins the day a candidate has earned his or her certification, and CPSDJ designees hold their certification for a minimum of one Re-certification period. During that time they must: maintain a client satisfaction level of 7 stars, remain in a qualifying position within the industry, and earn points by fulfilling various activity requirements based on the level of involvement and time spent doing the activity. The categories for which points are awarded include:
90 points: To qualify for Re-certification during a two (2-3) year period of time, a CPSDJ must earn an accredited 90 Re-certification points. (Minimum and maximum points per category apply.)
Example of point system:
20 pts: Maintain client satisfaction level of 7 stars (or higher) 15 pts: Attending Computer DJ Summit 10 pts: Offer Educational/Mentor Services 08 pts: Member of National or Local Trade/Networking Assoc. 05 pts: Attend Recommended Professional Development Activities/Seminars at industry trade show or convention. 04 pts: Paid Subscriber of DJ Industry Periodical 04 pts: Paid Subscriber of Industry Music Pool/Service 04 pts: Industry Related Professional Involvement 04 pts: Continued Professional Experience
See Re-certification paperwork for a CPSDJ Re-certification candidate may elect to take the required CPSDJ examination to earn their Re-certification in lieu of the points system. The candidate must achieve a minimum score of 82% on the required exam and still maintain a client satisfaction level of 7 stars or higher in order to Re-certify You may elect to continue Re-certification as many times as you wish or after completing one certification you can apply for a CPSME Certification.

A CPSME Re-certification candidate may elect to take the required CPSME examination to earn his or her Re-certification in lieu of the points system. The candidate must achieve a minimum score of 85% on the CPSME exams, and still maintain a client satisfaction level of 8 stars (or more) in order to maintain CPSME Re-certification)
